Housing Snapshot: Existing-Home Sales - October 2024

In October 2024, existing-home sales were recorded at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.96 million, reflecting a 3.4% month-over-month (MoM) increase and a 2.9% year-over-year (YoY) increase. Inventory levels stood at 4.2 months of supply, a slight increase from the 3.6 months reported in October 2023. The median sales price for existing homes reached $407,200, marking a 4% YoY increase.
