Message from Our President, Danielle Corliss

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

We are deeply saddened by the recent string of tragedies including George Floyd’s senseless death; our hearts go out to all families, directly or indirectly, affected during this incredibly difficult time.

At Orange County REALTORS®, we are not only committed to fair housing and equality but creating a place where all feel respected, welcomed, and safe. We also acknowledge the hurt, anger and frustration felt in our country, especially recently. We stand firm in our commitment to equality and against racism and injustice. We believe people must practice civility and empathy while standing against racism.

While we do not have all the answers, we resolve to use our compassion, our creative ideas, and our collective sense of humanity to ensure that we are fostering a culture that acknowledges people’s feelings and their pain. As an industry, we are a community and we value that community more than ever. We also realize that now is the time for us to further strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion. By embracing this, we become more vital, more representative, and more united in our cause as individuals, REALTORS®, and citizens of our great nation.

May we all take steps toward making this world a place with a little more peace, love, grace, and harmony.

Sincerely,
