Housing Snapshot: Pending Home Sales - September 2024

In September 2024, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) reported a notable increase in pending home sales, with the overall index rising to 75.8, reflecting a month-over-month (MoM) increase of 7.4%. The West region saw the highest MoM growth at 9.8%, bringing its index to 64.0. Meanwhile, the Midwest recorded a 7.1% MoM increase, with an index of 75.0. The Northeast experienced a MoM rise of 6.5%, resulting in an index of 65.6, while the South led all regions with an index of 89.0 and a 6.7% MoM increase.
