Housing Snapshot: Pending Home Sales - August 2024

According to the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), the August 2024 Pending Home Sales Index recorded a value of 70.6, reflecting a month-over-month (MoM) increase of 0.6%. Regionally, the South led with an index of 83.6, with a MoM of 0.1%. The Midwest saw a more significant rise, with an index of 70.0 and a MoM increase of 3.2%. In contrast, the Northeast reached an index of 61.6, with a 4.6% MoM increase. The West lagged behind, recording an index of 58.0 with a MoM rise of 3.2%.
