Orange County REALTORS® Board of Directors is seeking applicants!

To be eligible to serve as an OC REALTORS® Director, all candidates must:

• Be a REALTOR® member in good standing with Orange County REALTORS® continuously during the 24 months immediately prior to being seated.

• Have completed a 1-year term of service on any one of OC REALTORS® committees within the past 2 years or have successfully completed the OC REALTORS® Leadership Academy. Committee service is defined as having attended a minimum of 75% of the regular or special meetings of the committee during the year.

• Be actively licensed with no restrictions with the California Department of Real Estate for the previous twenty-four months and not have any disciplinary issues, suspensions or other findings of a violation of the real estate licensing laws or regulations pending. • Be of sound professional character conducting business in compliance with NAR Code of Ethics.*

• Other criteria shall be considered when determining qualifications to run for the position of an Elected Director.**

• Applicants may attend an optional informational “open house” for members interested in running for the Board of Directors on March 7, 2024, 3 PM – 4 PM via Zoom (Click here to Register)

• Following ratification by the Board of Directors, Candidates MUST ATTEND a mandatory meeting on April 8, 2024, 1 PM – 2 PM via Zoom.

* Good standing means the member satisfies the obligations of REALTOR® members set forth in Article VI, Section 1 of the OCR Bylaws, is current with all financial and disciplinary obligations to OCR and MLS, has completed any new members requirements, and complies with NAR’s trademark rules.

** Credentials Committee shall take into consideration when determining the applicant’s qualifications: all final findings of the NAR Code of Ethics violations, violations of other membership duties at OCR or any other association of record in the past three years, and any unsatisfied discipline pending at any association of record.

*** The following criteria shall also be considered when determining qualifications to run for the position of an Elected Director: Any judgments, convictions of any felony, misdemeanor convictions relating to fraud or deceit, civil judgments for fraud, deceit, concealment or negligent misrepresentation (not including a settlement of a disputed case), professional reputation in the community and other matters that are not in the best interest of the Association, past service issues as a director or committee member; and/or conflicts of interest.

I want to continue serving Orange County REALTORS® by advocating for community and governmental involvement, for education for both incoming and experienced REALTORS®, and for improvement and innovation of dedicated platforms and the MLS to keep our members technologically current and by contributing my experience, education, and abilities to the OC REALTORS® Board of Directors and the REALTOR® community.
