Be Prepared for a New MLS Security Measure

Starting January 7, California Regional MLS (CRMLS) will begin rolling out multifactor authentication (MFA) to its users. This update adds an extra layer of protection to prevent unauthorized access and safeguard your account information.

As part of the phased rollout, you will be prompted to set up MFA the next time you log in—timing will vary by user.

When prompted:

  • You’ll be asked to set up MFA upon attempting to log in to the MLS
  • A one-time verification code will be sent to you via email or text message
  • You’ll use your regular MLS login credentials plus the one-time code to access your account

No immediate action is required until you receive the MFA prompt. However, we strongly recommend taking a moment now to log in to your MLS account and confirm that:

  • Your email address is current
  • Your mobile phone number is accurate

Having up-to-date contact information ensures you’ll receive your one-time code without delays.
