As we celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI) this May, let's honor the diverse cultures, histories, achievements, and contributions of these communities. It's also essential to acknowledge their experiences, struggles, and enduring resilience. This month provides an opportunity for education about the AANHPI heritage, promoting understanding, and fostering unity. This year's theme for AANHPI Heritage Month is "Advancing Leaders Through Innovation."
Amidst our celebration, it's crucial to recognize the disparities in homeownership rates across different racial groups. The 2024 State of Asia America Report, released by the Asian Real Estate Association of America, reveals that despite an overall higher homeownership rate than that of Black Americans and Latino Americans, disparities persist compared to those of White Americans.
