Updates

March 28: U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) updated its list of essential services during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis and expressly included residential real estate. 

Notwithstanding this new development, all real estate licensees must take into account the health and safety of their clients and fellow licensees, and follow the existing protocols for protecting against the spread of COVID-19. If such heath safeguards and protocols are not followed, the rule for the state could easily change to stop or restrict all real estate activity. To that end, in conformity with current health guidelines, real estate licensees should follow all CDC and local health mandates. 

1. No open houses should be held.
2. Showings should be done virtually, if at all possible.

Payment Plan Extended Deadlines

If you are on our 6-month payment plan, please note that your 4th installment for your 2020 Membership Dues is now due April 22 instead of April 11. There will be no late fees for this 4th installment.

Your new Payment Plan due dates are as follows: 

  • 4th Installment is due April 22
  • 5th Installment is due July 11
  • Last Installment is due August 11

MLS Tips

Showings: 

  • Include a link to an unbranded virtual tour in the Public Remarks field.

Open Houses:

  • A Virtual Open House is a Listing Agent inviting any number of people to participate in a scheduled event set for a specific time to view the property and interact with the Listing Agent virtually.

Days on Market (DOM):

  • To stop DOM; Listing Agent/Broker should change the status to HOLD. CRMLS has removed the 30-day time limitation for Hold statuses.

Current Status of OC REALTORS® Calendar

Classes

All classes are cancelled effective Monday, March 16th. Please check our Online Learning Opportunities page for webinars and virtual solutions.
We will try our best to reschedule most, if not all, classes for a later date. If you paid to attend, a refund will be issued to your original payment source.

New REALTOR® Orientation

March 17th and April 16th Orientations are cancelled. 
If you were scheduled to attend we will offer an opportunity to reschedule for a later date or allow you to complete an online orientation. A separate email will be sent out with your options.

Marketing Meetings

All live marketing meetings and previews/tours are cancelled.

Committee Meetings

Committee Meetings may be cancelled or held virtually. Each committee chair and liaison will determine whether the next scheduled meeting is necessary. If a meeting is deemed necessary, we will provide a virtual solution to meet.
